Manufacturing Job Interview Tips
Do manufacturing interviews make you nervous? If you are, you aren’t alone. Interviews can be daunting, and if you don’t perform well, the chances of you getting called in for an interview will be very low. If you dread job interviews, here are some ways to make the experience a bit easier.
Let’s be honest – interviews are not always the most exciting events, but interviewers will expect you to be interested in what they are discussing. Dress for the job you want…not the job you have.
Even though you will not be working in office garb, you will need to dress professionally for an interview in the manufacturing industry. Always wear a dress shirt, pants or skirt. Neutral colors are best, and if you can’t decide what to wear, colors such as brown, black, white, navy blue, dark green – and gray will suffice. Although it can be tempting, avoid wearing strongly scented perfumes, lotions – or colognes – the interviewer may be allergic.
