Today Was A Good Day To Be Alive
Lukas lives by the motto, “Today was a good day to be alive,” a tribute to his brother who battled kidney disease. Inspired by his brother’s journal, Lukas has the phrase tattooed on his arm, a reminder to embrace life positively.
He actively volunteers with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and the National Kidney Foundation, believing that even small acts of kindness can create a significant impact. Lukas encourages everyone to dedicate their time to helping others, saying, “It will make you feel different.” This commitment to helping others extends to his work at Leadpoint.
One of the main reasons Lukas interviewed for the onsite manager position was to work in a role where he could train, mentor, and develop others. Lukas expressed, “I am the happiest when I see people succeed and get new opportunities.”
Approaching the onsite manager role with a clear focus, Lukas sets one goal each month. In his first month, he aimed for the site to remain incident-free. The site has now been incident-free for over seven consecutive months. Other goals focus on achieving a consistent headcount and building a reliable team of well-trained employees.
“Caring is essential for both personal and professional success. You must care if you want to excel at anything,” Lukas emphasized.
For Lukas, every day is a good day. He hopes his focus on positivity cultivates an environment where individuals feel appreciated and inspired to reach their full potential.
