Leadpoint Business Services needs several experienced Maintenance Technicians at a recycling production facility in Indianapolis, IN. This position will perform repairs and maintenance on sorting, grinding and washing equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical activities include preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems at the recycling center's manufacturing equipment.

EARN $30.00/HOUR + OVERTIME
EVENING SHIFT: 5:45 AM TO 6:15PM ON ALTERNATING 2-3-3 SCHEDULE

Your responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on facility equipment, such as conveyors, screens, reducers, balers, optical sorting units, magnets, dust collectors, metering bins, bulk material handling equipment and others to maximize a safe and productive operation.
  • Repair or replace parts as directed by a work order system. Complete field service reports.
  • Overhaul or replace machine components and replace worn items
  • Communicate with superiors and or equipment operator for clarification and diagnosis or problems. May discuss preventative techniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs.
  • Complete daily consumable report to record hours, fuel and oil usage, and provides information for input in Asset Management Software system.
  • Performs preventative maintenance according to standard schedules
  • May maintain, repair, install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, odor systems or negative pressure systems
  • Install and sets up new equipment and communicate with vendors regarding maintenance schedules
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
To be considered, a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of maintenance technician experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing setting is required. You must also be able to focus on tasks with detailed attention. We also require:

  • The ability to work an assigned schedule, follow instructions, and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Consent to a drug screen. This is a drug-free workplace.
  • Consent to a background check. Prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify you from working for this company, as we are a second-chance employer.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Availability for schedules if necessary.
  • Basic knowledge in maintenance and familiarity with manual and electrical tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time or in uncomfortable positions.
