Second Chances
As a former Sergeant with the Sheriff’s Department, Michael has seen firsthand how desperation, addiction, and personal struggles can lead good people to make poor decisions. He was drawn to Leadpoint because of its commitment to giving people a second chance.
“My most rewarding moments are in the interview room,” Michael shared. “When an applicant reveals their past or mentions they are on work release, I love seeing the look of relief on their face when I simply say, ‘Okay.’”
Michael is committed to providing his team with a path to prove their potential. His goal is to create an environment where they feel supported and know the team is there to help them improve their circumstances. The opportunity to make that kind of impact is what he enjoys most about the job.
Everyone has a unique story, and sometimes that story doesn’t follow a straight line. When Michael notices someone starting to struggle, he draws on his experience to meet them where they are, explaining his perspective on the direction they seem headed. “I make it clear that my job is to support them, but their success ultimately depends on the choices they make,” said Michael. “I am dedicated to guiding people toward positive outcomes, and I truly enjoy being a constructive influence on those around me.”
