Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Production Lead supervisor for our site in Minneapolis, MN. This position oversees employees assigned to a specific production line. You will plan and assign work, coach employees, and resolve issues, and perform accident investigations. You’ll also assists the Production Manager to implement performance measures and ensure production goals are met.
This is an entry-level supervisory role. It’s full-time and gives you opportunities to grow with us. Pay rate : $20.00/hour. Your skills in communication, problem solving, and time management are required. Your experience in waste/recycling or light manufacturing is a plus.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Line Lead to oversee 1st shift operations at our
Minneapolis Material Recycling Facility (MRF). This hands-on leadership role is essential to
maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The Line Lead will coordinate daily
production activities, supervise staff, and ensure that performance and safety standards are
consistently met.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise Sorters and production staff to meet daily operational goals
• Coordinate material flow, equipment usage, and tip floor activities
• Assign tasks and monitor progress in collaboration with the Recycling Operations Foreman
• Conduct equipment inspections and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure PPE compliance
• Monitor incoming materials for contamination and ensure proper sorting
• Maintain accurate records of shift performance, incidents, and inventory
• Train staff on operational procedures and safety standards
• Provide coaching and support to improve team performance
• Support cross-training efforts to build a flexible workforce
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
Qualifications:
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a production, warehouse, or recycling environment
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
• Professional demeanor and customer service mindset
• Respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) or similar industrial setting
• Familiarity with recycling equipment (balers, conveyors, sorting systems)
• Knowledge of environmental compliance and municipal recycling programs
• Experience with inventory tracking and quality control systems
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Ability to generate and interpret operational reports and metrics
• History of leading performance improvement initiatives
Work Environment:
• Fast-paced industrial recycling facility
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and seasonal temperature changes
• Required use of PPE: gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection
• Time-sensitive tasks requiring coordination across multiple workstations
• Regular interaction with staff and leadership
• Strong emphasis on safety and hazard awareness
