Ken has had a lot of jobs in his career, including 35 years in the recycling industry. He’s been promoted, transferred and moved across the Midwest and Northeast. He wanted to get back to Michigan to be closer to his family, especially his elderly mother, which is why he joined Leadpoint in 2020
“My mother is the best person I know,” Ken said. “When my father passed, I remember the preacher saying, ‘None of us is guaranteed a spot in heaven,’ and I added, ‘…except for my mother’.” For Ken, it’s all about family.
He says Leadpoint is like a family, too. He starts thinking about what’s best for his work family from the moment he wakes up. “Being part of a team is what we have here at the MRF,” Ken said. “It goes back to us being there and genuinely caring about each other.”
Ken believes Leadpoint offers things that a lot of people don’t have in their lives: the knowledge that they are truly wanted, a sense of pride, and an opportunity to move up through the ranks.
Families want these things for each other. And Ken and Leadpoint offer those same things to the crew at Southfield.
