Leadpoint Business Services seeks several Maintenance Technician Helper to assist with Safely operating and maintaining forklifts and other industrial tools used in the physical movement and processing of plastic scrap in large volumes. They report to a Site Supervisor. The hours and physical demand may vary.

Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in a safe manner complying with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Efficiently move skids, bales, gaylords, and other material from/onto a trailer in a way which does not endanger personnel, equipment, or physical plant.
- Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections on equipment and complete necessary forms.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, (ie. lubricating, fueling, and cleaning).
- Engage in equipment assembly, disassembly, repair or replacement as needed.
- Continuously monitor all equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time. Cleans waste from equipment body and wheels or tracks.
- Advises management immediately in the event of equipment failure, accident, injury, or property damage.
- Cleans stray scrap and trash from the warehouse and dock area throughout the day.
- Proficiently complete all operating and labor tasks assigned.
- Makes recommendations to management for equipment and/or process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements/Skills
- Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- Basic to intermediate general mechanical ability, including the use of all hand tools.
- Experience in the basic operation of a forklift.
- Must be willing to complete training on other plant equipment as necessary.
- Ability to follow management instructions to properly execute shipping, receiving, and inventory system including completion of necessary paperwork.
Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must successfully complete OSHA-mandated pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to cold/warm weather in warehouse dock environment.
- Exposure to post-industrial and post-consumer scrap plastic which may be dirty and/or dusty.
