Leadpoint has expanded its operations support team and announced new roles for three integration experts.

Under the leadership of Vice President of Recycling Todd Hubbard, the highly experienced operations support team works with the company’s customers and managers to address issues, tackle problems first-hand, and recommend solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Albert Pena has been named Operations Support Leader. He started with Leadpoint as a sorter in 2012. Two months later, he moved into a screen cleaner position. In 2013, Albert was promoted to line lead and later that year was promoted again, to shift manager and then onsite manager, all at one of Leadpoint’s largest and most complex sites. He moved onto the Workforce Optimization Team in 2015 and in 2018, he was to a lead role on the Operations Support Team.

Alex Sandoval also serves in an Operations Support Leader role. New to Leadpoint, he most recently worked as director of operations at Strategic Materials Inc. in Houston. In that role, Alex had full-plant P&L responsibilities for regional operations in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston, Midlothian, Durham, Sarasota, and others. Alex also worked with Waste Connections in McKinney, TX, supervising and organizing daily operations.

The third member of the Operations Support team is Isaac Sanders. Isaac started his tenure at Leadpoint as a sorter in 2013. After progressing from sorter to system lead, Isaac was offered a chance to join the operations support team in 2015. He remains in that role today and, as always, he has made it a goal to stay focused on training.

“These are highly-experienced, savvy recycling experts,” Todd said. “They bring their knowledge and insight to our new customers as during the startup and implementation of our high-performance work team model, and to existing customers as needed throughout their relationship with Leadpoint.

“Together, Albert, Alex, and Isaac troubleshoot, listen, and provide outside perspective to our customers,” Todd said. He also added that these road-warriors travel among MRF site upwards of 300 days each year.
